The grizzled giant squirrel is a medium-sized squirrel native to the Indian subcontinent.
It's known for its distinctive gray-brown coat with white flecks, giving it a "grizzled" appearance. With a bushy tail that can be as long as its body, it's well-adapted for life in trees.

Habitat: Primarily found in forests, particularly in the highlands. Behavior: Diurnal and arboreal, spending most of its time in trees. Diet: Mainly herbivorous, feeding on fruits, seeds, and leaves.
Conservation Status: The grizzled giant squirrel is currently listed as "Near Threatened" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) due to habitat loss and hunting.
